Woodo Guitars are Made in South Korea. South Korea is considered as one of the best countries in the world in the field of producing musical instruments. In early 70's many of the big guitar labels moved their production to Japan and a few years later to South Korea. As we know, those Asian instruments from that time bear extremely high quality. During this transition of manufacturing, western guitar builders took their luthier traditions to South Korea and those skills are highly esteemed by the biggest guitar brands of today.

The electronics in Woodo bass guitars was designed to be as flexibel as possible. Most of the models are equipped with a Passive / Active switch. There's an onboard 3 way equalizer by which you can tweak your own sound, whether you want a woody and jazzy sound or a punchy and crispy tone. In the passive mode the 3 way equalizer is bypassed and in the active mode you're connecting the EQ to the signal chain. No batteries are needed in the passive mode.
Woodo bass guitars are equipped with Kent Armstrong pickups for a noiseless, strong and pure tone. Kent Armstrong, the designer for these excellent pickups started rewinding pickups in early 70's in his fathers repair shop, gained rapidly success and today is one of the most respected designers of the industry.
As for the hardware vi use Wilkinson tuners in our instruments. They truly hold the tune in hardest conditions.
Seven string basses are tuned default to BEADGCF. It is possible to change the tuning to F#BEADGC , but then you'll have to change the string set. There's not many string manufacturers for 7 string basses, but there's a workaround. Move the default string set upwards and place a .145 to .175 gauge string as the low F#. Seven string basses are equipped with double trus rod so the neck tolerates a lot of pressure from the strings.

In the passive mode the 3 way equalizer is bypassed and in the active mode the EQ is inserted into the signal chain. Batteries are discharged always when your guitar cord is connected to the output jack of the instrument.
